Description of the two elemenents of the Slovenian JS project:
Scream! – Learn it! Do it! Tell it!
The title of the 2012 Scream! youth exchange is “Learn it! Do it! Tell it!” because our aim and topic will be learning how youth groups work, about creating new projects from your ideas; there will be a simulation of a project work in groups on different topics (environmental challenges, homosexuality, domestic violence, fast food, animal torturing, active free time,…) and their role will be to create a mini project, to identify some key messages on their topic and then prepare some promotional material to tell about their topic to the public. Beside group work, you will get theoretical input on different topics from advocacy, team building, photography, design …, depending on your interests.
What is Green Economy?
A youth-led seminar will focus on the economical side of the sustainable triangle. The world as a whole rapidly understands that it is impossible to continue with the current pace and pattern of economic development. In order to keep our present standard we have to find an alternative, green and sustainable way of both economic and social development. In the seminar we will try to understand with the help of external experts what is the best tactic for a green transition and what are the main challenges. We will tackle with several development strategies the world is facing, evaluate the results of Rio+20 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro this year and build upon them.
The last part of the seminar will have a mentored process to develop follow-up projects by the international participants.
