Number of Participants: 7 international participants
Participants Nationalities: Norwegian, Argentine, Venezuelan, Finnish, Slovenian, Icelandic.
“A taste of Peruvian Volunteer: the Volunteer Tour”
Organized by the Ship for World Youth Alumini Asociation-Peru (SWYAA-Peru)
The aim for the Volunteer Project Week was to give a “Taste of Volunteer” to the international participants. In this way, the participants had the opportunity to experience a variety of volunteer activities in Lima and share with different organizations. They could work in activities “hands on” like preparing and installing solar bulbs in a human settlement, discovering and protecting the Lomas, teaching values and playing games with adolescents living in a shelter and teaching about their countries to hospitalized children. Also they had some workshops where they could learn about volunteerism in Perú and share about volunteerism in their countries. Peruvian music, food and tourism was also present.

Day 0 - October 28th: Arrivals
Day 1 – October 29th (Led by SWYAA Peru)
Morning: Introduction to the VP in Peru / Presentations
Afternoon: Volunteer in Peru (discussion) – Led by Universidad del Pacifico
Evening: Welcoming dinner and Jamming Session
Day 2 – October 30th (Led by SWYAA Peru)
Morning: Visit to children´s hospital
Afternoon: Workshop
Evening: Japanese Dinner
Day 3 – October 31th (Led by 1 Litro de Luz)
Morning: Project activity: implementing bottles for lighting needs
Afternoon: Tourism.
Evening: “Creole Music National Celebration” Party
Day 4 – November 1st -Free time (national holiday)
Morning: Surfing Workshop
Evening: European and Latin American Night - Wavestones Concert
Day 5 – November 2nd (Led by Proyecto Lomas)
Morning: Activities in local school
Afternoon: Activities in Lomas ecosystem and Campoy fortress presentation
Evening: Cultural night –“La Candelaria”
Day 6 – November 3rd (Led by Voluntades)
Morning: “ProyectoActiva”: working with children in need
Afternoon: “Nietos por Amor”: working with old people
Evening: Farewell party
Day 7 – November 4th : Departures
